St. Mary’s Cathedral

Dedicated in 1926 and designed by Joseph Jacobberger in Romanesque Revival style, St. Mary’s is Portland’s grandest sacred concert space: rounded arches, a cruciform plan, marble altars, and stained glass carried over from earlier cathedrals. The vaulted ceiling gives the room a long, generous reverberation – the acoustics that medieval and Renaissance polyphony was written for. Sung here, a Hildegard antiphon or a Marian motet lands the way its composer intended. The cathedral’s dedication to the Blessed Virgin makes it a fitting setting for an ensemble whose name and repertoire honor women.
Parking: The cathedral has an on-site surface lot. During larger events, overflow parking frequently utilizes the nearby Trinity Episcopal Cathedral lot. Metered street parking is also available throughout the surrounding neighborhood.

Irving Street Studio

Housed on the ground floor of Ecotrust’s Natural Capital Center, a restored 1895 warehouse in the Pearl District, Irving Street Studio trades stained glass for brick archways, original wood beams, and wide-plank floors. The wood warms the sound and shortens the decay, so nothing blurs — every consonant, every suspension, every breath between phrases reaches the back row. Configured for concerts, it puts listeners within a few feet of the singers. It’s the venue where In Mulieribus programs newer and more experimental work, including music by living women composers.
Parking for Irving Street Studio (located within the Ecotrust Building) is available through a dedicated on-site lot, nearby garages, and metered street spaces.
Kaul Auditorium

Kaul Auditorium is Portland’s purpose-built room for chamber music. Opened in 1998 as part of Reed College’s Gray Campus Center, its acoustics are widely considered among the finest in the city — clear enough to expose everything, forgiving enough to reward it. That precision suits a small ensemble of women’s voices, where the interest lives in how closely the parts tune to one another. Home to Chamber Music Northwest and host to touring ensembles from around the world, Kaul gives In Mulieribus a concert-hall setting for its largest programs.
Parking: No general parking is available directly in front of the auditorium. Visitors should use campus lots. The West Parking Lot (off SE 28th Ave) is closest. Avoid parking on nearby neighborhood street curbs; the city strictly enforces parking and bike lanes here.
Accessibility: Drop-off: A designated ADA drop-off/pick-up zone sits directly in front of the auditorium entrance via Botsford Drive. Cars cannot park or idle unattended here (fire zone).
ADA Parking: A limited number of ADA spaces are located at the top of Botsford Drive near the Physical Plant.
Navigating from Lots: If parking in the West Lot, you can bypass the uphill walk by entering the Performing Arts Building and taking the elevator up to the Kaul Auditorium level. The North Lot (off SE Steele St) requires crossing the Canyon Bridge.
Public Transit: Accessible via TriMet bus lines 10 and 19.
All Saints Episcopal Church

The church has its own on-site parking lot, supplemented by street parking along SE 40th and 41st Avenues. Overflow parking is permitted nearby at the Woodstock Wine & Deli lot (4030 SE Woodstock Blvd).
Accessibility: Accessible disability parking spaces and a ramped accessible entrance are located on the north side of the building, providing direct entry to the worship space. There is an accessible restroom in the Narthex (entryway), and a ramped hallway connects to the Parish Hall.
